In the words of our Director of Photography: “One of the most frantic, crazy, fun shoots of my career thus far.”

We were approached directly, and with no time to spare, to pull off a complex multi-camera shoot with only a single take. Lululemon Global Ambassador, Rob Watson, was on a mission to beat the record for the SeaWheeze half marathon – in an unusual COVID-19 environment where the marathon couldn’t take place with the usual fanfare. Rob had to run the route by himself, at the crack of dawn to avoid busy streets, pedestrians and any unwanted attention. We decided to film the challenge from the streets, sky and water.

Lululemon wanted to capture this as a way to inspire runners to get out and compete virtually, even when we can’t host events in the traditional way. We only had one opportunity to capture Rob’s record in a single take. Watch to find out if he broke the record.
