Fake Fame | Dear Rouge

Fake Fame is a music video for the Canadian indie pop-rock band Dear Rouge. Shot in contrasty black and white; it visually nods to the early glamour days of the silver screen, while poking fun at the desperation of fame-seeking in an image obsessed world. Front woman, Dani, plays the part of a lost musician who stumbles across a car scrap yard and starts down a dark, surreal rabbit-hole of her own making.

Wallop Film produced the video and funding was acquired through grants from Factor + Ontario Creates, with additional funding from Wallop Film. The video premiered at the sold-out Rockin’ The Park 2021 music festival.
